OWASSO, Okla. – The FBI has arrested a man charged in connection with the fiery September 2025 crash in Owasso that killed Tulsa Fire Department Lt. Brian Bizzell and injured three others.
Federal prosecutors charged 52-year-old Christopher Robert Chaney with one count of involuntary manslaughter in Indian Country, two counts of assault resulting in serious bodily injury in Indian Country and one count of assault by striking, beating and wounding in Indian Country.
The five-vehicle crash happened Sept. 30 near 116th Street North and Garnett Road. According to Owasso police, Chaney was driving a pickup truck at a high rate of speed when he crashed into several vehicles stopped at a red light, causing all five vehicles to catch fire…
