The 34-year-old woman was found May 6 inside her apartment at the Lion Factory Apartments in northern Troy with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital and died a week later.

“I want justice for my daughter,” said Barry Tyce Sr., Shardonay’s father. “I’m not crying, but I guess I’m out of tears right now.”

The current suspect is Shardonay’s boyfriend, Kean Wiggins, who police believe fled the area.

“We received a warrant for his arrest from Troy City Court, charging him with murder in the second degree,” said Deputy Chief Steven Barker. “At this point of the investigation, the detectives, along with the United States Marshal Service, are attempting to locate Mr. Wiggins and take him into custody.”
