BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Residents in the Lindera Preserve community of Cane Bay say they’re still dealing with the aftermath of a large fish kill that left neighborhood ponds filled with dead fish over the Fourth of July weekend.
Days later, many of the fish have been removed by scavenging birds, but residents say fish skeletons remain along the banks and a strong odor continues to linger.
“I’ve been here for 9 years now living in this neighborhood. And the stench on the day that I was notified when I came and walked the ponds was unbelievable,” resident Donna Dorner said…
