Madera woman arrested after allegedly smuggling drugs into state prison

MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Madera woman was arrested on Monday after allegedly smuggling drugs into a state penitentiary.

The DOJ says the investigation began in March 2025 after narcotics were brought into California State Prison, Solano.

That investigation led them to a Madera home, which on July 6, the DOJ, with assistance from CDCR, found 775 grams of heroin, 453 grams of concentrated cannabis, and $2,000 in cash.
