The very hot and humid weather will continue into the weekend. Tonight will be mainly clear, warm and muggy with low temperatures in the 70s to near 80. High pressure will bring another partly sunny and hot day tomorrow with only a slight chance for a thunderstorm. High temperatures will be back into the 90s with heat index values over 105.
The high pressure will start to weaken on Saturday, but it will still be a very hot day with highs back into the mid- to upper 90s. We will see a better chance for late-day thunderstorms on Saturday. A cold front will move into the area on Sunday with more thunderstorms and an end to the heat wave. Temperatures will be back to normal with highs in the 80s and low 90s. This cooler weather with daily thunderstorms will continue for the first half of next week.
