Jupiter Medical Center, the region’s only independent, not-for-profit health system, broke ground June 24 on its second hospital, marking a significant expansion of access to high-quality care in western Palm Beach County. The “Jupiter Medical Center Neighborhood Hospital at the Health Park at Avenir” is designed to meet the needs of a rapidly growing population, bringing emergency and specialty services closer to where patients live and work.
The 53,000-square-foot hospital will include 29 inpatient beds, four operating rooms, 24-hour emergency services, a diagnostic laboratory and imaging services. It will be adjacent to a three-story, 47,000-square-foot medical office building dedicated to Jupiter Medical Center physicians, including primary care, concierge medicine, orthopedics, cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary and general surgery. Both facilities are expected to open in early 2028.
“Today is a proud and historic moment for Jupiter Medical Center and for the communities we serve,” said Dr. Amit Rastogi, president and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “Breaking ground on the second hospital in our health system’s history represents a defining step in our continued growth and our mission to expand access to the highest-quality care across our region. As western Palm Beach County continues to grow, this new campus will allow us to bring advanced emergency, surgical and specialty care closer to home for patients and families, while strengthening the seamless continuum of care that defines Jupiter Medical Center.”…
