WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Stay rested, hydrated, neighborly, and aware as First Alert Weather Days continue Friday and Saturday. In Friday’s case, temps will take a solid stab at Wilmington’s established record of 100, from 1993. Both afternoons will feel like 102 to 112; the sweltering air will fuel popup storm chances of 10% Friday afternoon, 20% Friday night, 10% Saturday morning, and 50% Saturday evening. From there… Lingering clouds, rain and storms will cut temps and feels likes to the far more reasonable 80s and 90s for Sunday and Monday.
Tropical storm formation remains unlikely in the Atlantic Basin this week.
