Buffalo police searching for man accused of promoting street party that led to shootings

Buffalo police are searching for a man they believe played a role in some of the violence that broke out on the Fourth of July in the city.

Police say Daevon Alexander, 24, is wanted in connection with the multiple shootings that broke out in Buffalo’s Delavan Grider neighborhood. They say he allegedly promoted a block party on the Fourth of July at the intersection of Steven Avenue, with a planned street takeover at East Delavan and Grider.

According to Buffalo Police Commissioner Erika Shields, 11 people were shot in six separate shootings. The victims range in age from 13 to 51 years old and their injuries appear to be non-life-threatening…
