Man accused of robbing a North Charleston business

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The North Charleston Police Department arrested a man Friday morning after he allegedly robbed a business.

Carlton Lamont Pringle, 53, was charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of methamphetamine.

Officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Cricket Wireless store in Evanston Shopping Plaza around 11:30 a.m. The business said that a man entered the premises, pulled out a large knife and demanded cash. The suspect allegedly held the store at knifepoint and took $200 from the cash register before fleeing on foot…
