GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The 61st District Court in downtown Grand Rapids is hosting its third annual job fair Thursday, bringing together local employers and job seekers.
The court will open its doors to job seekers Thursday afternoon as part of an initiative to help Grand Rapids-area residents find stability through meaningful employment and access to supportive resources. In addition to employers, the job fair will feature several local organizations offering housing, education, transportation and workforce development services.
“We recognize that lasting change happens when people are given meaningful opportunities and the support they need to succeed,” Chief Judge Angela Ross said in a statement. “This job fair reflects our commitment to helping individuals move forward, whether they have been involved in the justice system or are simply looking for their next opportunity.
