MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Two Prichard police officers accused of taking bribes and abusing their positions appeared before the same Mobile County judge Friday, as prosecutors say a widening corruption investigation continues inside the Prichard Police Department.
Human remains found in Walton County identified as missing Niceville man
Officer Jihad Irby appeared in court Friday morning on two counts of bribery, two counts of extortion, and one ethics charge for using his official position for personal gain. All five charges are felonies.
Judge Johana Bucci set Irby’s bond at $15,000 on each of the five charges, for a total bond of $75,000. As a condition of his release, the judge ordered Irby not to work as a police officer or in any security position while the case is pending…
