A 60-year-old man from Emeryville died after being struck by a vehicle on westbound Interstate 80 in Solano County just moments after he was involved in a prior crash early Friday morning, CHP officials said.
Officers got the report of the crash at 2:30 a.m. Shortly before the crash, witnesses reported seeing the driver of a gray Lexus sedan traveling at a high rate of speed, according to Officer Scott Heitman, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol’s Solano division.
