Killer of teen bystander gets maximum 30-year prison sentence in West Palm Beach shooting

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The man convicted in the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl who was caught in the crossfire of a neighborhood dispute will spend the next 30 years behind bars.

On Friday, a Palm Beach County judge sentenced Larry Darnell Young to the maximum sentence after a jury found him guilty of manslaughter with a firearm in the December 2021 killing of the teenage girl, State Attorney Alexcia Cox announced.
