HONOLULU (KHON2) — Volunteers with the Hawaiʻi Kai Lions Club will repair uneven sidewalks along Kealahou Street later this month in an effort to improve pedestrian safety.
The repairs are part of the District 50 Lions’ Safe Sidewalks Initiative, a program focused on reducing tripping hazards in neighborhoods across Hawaiʻi.
Hawaii Kai sidewalks see some ‘much-needed’ service
The volunteer project is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., when crews will apply temporary patches to sidewalk uplifts and separations along Kealahou Street between Hawaiʻi Kai Drive and Mokuhano Street.
