WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — The West Memphis community came together to celebrate a 9-year-old boy’s return home after he spent months hospitalized while battling a rare autoimmune disorder.
Friends, family and supporters gathered for a surprise welcome home party for Kainan Smith, who recently returned home after spending five months at Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
The celebration was centered around the things Kainan loves, including sports and spending time with friends.
