ORLANDO, Fla. – Saturday truly had it all for Central Florida! Heat advisories with highs in the mid-upper 90s and scattered storms favoring areas between I-4 and I-75. Marion County even saw a few severe thunderstorms that produced significant damage in some neighborhoods. See the damage HERE. We will see spotty storms moving into our early evening until 9pm. After 9pm, only an isolated shower is possible. By 10pm, we are dry for the rest of the overnight with passing clouds in our skies. Lows will drop into the mid-upper 70s.
Sunday
Our Sunday Funday will be another sultry afternoon, however, there is good news! Our heat will be sub-heat advisory levels, meaning not quite as oppressively hot. Highs will still hit the mid 90s with heat indices 100-105ºF. The other good news is better rain chances! A stronger westerly steering flow spells better rain chances for areas around I-4 and eastward in the afternoon…
