Survey seeks to improve ISU Extension outreach, engagement

REGIONAL—Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is inviting community members across N’West Iowa to participate in a new survey designed to better understand local needs, communication preferences, and opportunities for expanded programming.

The project is part of the 2026 Rising Star Internship program, which places students from Iowa State University in Ames in rural counties supporting community development, outreach, and educational initiatives.

The survey will help ISU Extension and Outreach identify who it is reaching, where gaps exist, and how to improve access to research-based resources in areas such as agriculture, youth development, health, nutrition, and community leadership.
