Montgomery Zoo reopens exhibit featuring two critically endangered red wolves

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The Montgomery Zoo announced the arrival of two new residents earlier this week.

Pear and Sentinel, two critically endangered American red wolves have taken up residence in a newly refurbished habitat along the zoo’s North American Interpretive Trail, which is now officially reopened to guests.

Pearl, a 4‑year‑old female from the North Carolina Zoo, and Sentinel, a 3‑year‑old male from the Akron Zoo, arrived in Montgomery in April.
