The St. Elmo Homemakers Club is inviting the community to enjoy barbecue, homemade treats and family-friendly activities while helping preserve one of Christian County’s last remaining one-room schoolhouses.
The club’s annual barbecue fundraiser will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., July 16, at Glass Farms, 8500 Bradshaw Road in Pembroke. Tickets are $15 and include barbecue, side dishes, a drink and dessert. Guests can dine in or take advantage of the event’s drive-thru service.
In addition to the meal, the fundraiser will feature a silent auction with approximately 60 gift baskets, a country store stocked with homemade baked goods and canned items, and a raffle for a red, white and blue Case IH pedal tractor commemorating America’s 250th anniversary…
