Fish was on the menu at 125-year-old Oak & Anchor Grill

Leave it to Ottawa County to have a restaurant with walleye, lake perch and frog legs on the menu.

I picked the lake perch sandwich with fries. The fresh perch was hand-breaded and fried. They stacked that fish on a bun with lettuce and tomato, complete with the red checkered paper that I remembered as a kid in Northern Michigan.

The Oak & Anchor Grill is on the first floor front of the old Kuebeler Hotel in Oak Harbor. The front distinction is key because the back of the 125-year-old hotel has the recently reopened Back Bar…
