Omaha Homicide Support Group holds first family retreat

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Omaha Homicide Support Group held its first family retreat this weekend, bringing together Nebraska families who have lost loved ones to homicide.

The event was closed to the public, open only to family members who have lost someone to homicide. Sixty-five people attended.

Families share their stories

Janet Christensen of Norfolk lost her daughter, Hailey Christensen, 29, to a shooting. Hailey’s boyfriend is serving a life sentence in prison.
