19-year-old flashes gun in Evansville road rage incident

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — A 19-year-old is behind bars after police say he brandished a gun in a fit of road rage.

An affidavit says Vanderburgh County Deputies pulled over Mason Gosciniak,19, on Monday after a driver called 911 to report a man who pointed a gun at him. Gosciniak originally told deputies that he did not point a gun at anyone, but later admitted to “showing” a gun to a man he had an argument with on the road.

Gosciniak told deputies he was in a road rage incident with another driver on Highway 41 at the intersection of Inglefield Road. At the intersection, the other driver threatened to beat him up, prompting Gosciniak to pull a gun from his driver’s door panel and say, “I would suggest you don’t do that.” The other driver then turned onto Inglefield Road and called 911.

Gosciniak is charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon. He is now in the Vanderburgh County Jail…
