A 53-year-old Indianapolis man was killed early Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on westbound I-44 in Ottawa County, Oklahoma. State troopers say the collision happened around 2:34 a.m. near mile marker 315, and that the driver of the second vehicle was injured as Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigators began working the scene.
According to KTUL, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the victim as Alejandro Martinez, 53, of Indianapolis. Troopers told the station they are still collecting evidence to determine what triggered the crash. The report also notes that neither vehicle was carrying passengers at the time and confirms that the other driver sustained injuries.
