Duval Jury Convicts Man in 2023 Stabbing and Carjacking Beneath Jacksonville Overpass

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Duval County jury has convicted a 34-year-old man of multiple felony charges in connection with the stabbing and carjacking of a man who was eating lunch beneath an Interstate 95 overpass in 2023, according to the Office of State Attorney Melissa Nelson.

On July 9, the jury found Raymond Rice Jr. guilty of attempted first-degree murder, armed carjacking, armed burglary and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Rice faces up to life in Florida State Prison. Circuit Judge Jeb Branham will impose sentence at a later date…
