Wanted man captured in Nashville after ramming into police vehicle

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man wanted on more than a dozen outstanding warrants has been taken into custody just days after he rammed into a patrol vehicle during a pursuit in Goodlettsville, officials said.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force, authorities arrested 30-year-old Jordan Barbee at a hotel along Brick Church Pike in Nashville on Monday, July 13.

The arrest comes after the Goodlettsville Police Department attempted to stop a stolen 2009 Jaguar XF at an apartment complex off Alta Loma Road on Friday, July 10. When law enforcement tried to stop the Jaguar, the driver—identified as Barbee—reportedly rammed into a GPD patrol vehicle before fleeing the scene.

As Barbee continued southbound on Alta Loma Road toward Dry Creek Road, two officers pursuing him were involved in a separate crash and taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, per the GPD.

Following his arrest in Nashville, officials said Barbee was turned over to the GPD. He reportedly had more than 16 outstanding warrants that were issued by several law enforcement agencies—including the GPD, Springfield Police Department, Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tennessee Department of Correction—some of which date back to 2023…
