BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – One person was rescued and transported to a hospital after plunging into a ravine with an ATV Saturday evening, according to the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department.
Crews responded to the 1700 block of Stone Coal Rd. in Fincastle at 9:15 p.m. July 11, 2026.
Fincastle Volunteer FD says it found the ATV and its driver had left the road and gone into the bottom of a steep ravine. A Stokes basket was used and a rope rescue was required to rescue the driver…
