A pre-dawn motorcycle crash on Interstate 80 near Lagoon Valley Road in Vacaville left a 28-year-old local rider dead yesterday, clogging traffic along one of Solano County’s busiest stretches of freeway.
According to CBS Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said the collision happened around 1:30 AM on the eastbound I-80 near Lagoon Valley Road. The motorcyclist, a Vacaville resident, was found in the center median and pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators told the station that five other vehicles were discovered on the shoulder and may have been involved in separate crashes linked to debris from the initial wreck. Two other drivers reported pain, and the eastbound lanes were shut down for roughly two hours while crews processed the scene and cleared the roadway…
