AUSTIN (KXAN) – CapMetro is seeking public input on a proposed fare increase that would mark the agency’s first hike in transit fares in over a decade.
Under the proposal, a local bus or pickup trip would increase from the current $1.25 fare to $1.50 in 2027 and $2 in 2029. Commuter service fares would rise from $3.50 to $4 in 2027 and $5 in 2029.
CapMetro Access fares would increase from $1.75 to $2.25 in 2027 and $3.25 in 2029…
