ARBOR VITAE, Wis. (WSAW) – A man in his 70s is recovering in Madison following a weekend fire in Vilas County.
The fire was reported around noon at a duplex on White Pine Lane. While crews were en route, a Mutual Aid Box Alarm System response was upgraded to a second alarm after a Vilas County deputy reported heavy fire conditions, according to an Arbor Vitae Fire/Rescue incident release. A third-level request for mutual aid due to extreme heat and humidity, officials said.
