KINGMAN, Ariz. – A Fresno, California man with the same first and last name is facing prosecution for a deadly collision on Interstate 40, about two miles east of the Kingman city limits. Bhupender Bhupender, 24, is charged with manslaughter for the July 9 incident that shut down the eastbound lanes of I- 40 for about three hours.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) said two big rigs collided just before 11 a.m.
“A tractor trailer made an evasive maneuver from the number two westbound lane toward the median due to fatigue,’’ said DPS spokesman Bart Graves. “That same semi crossed the median and into the path of another semi traveling eastbound in lane #2. The victim semi drove underneath and through the at-fault semi’s trailer.”…
