SAN DIEGO (FOX5/KUSI) — Local Muslim leaders are pushing for $20 million dollars in state funding to help improve security at all mosques and Islamic centers in San Diego County. The push comes just weeks after two armed gunmen stormed the Islamic Center of San Diego and killed three people.
“I do say extra prayers when I walk into a religious center,” said Homayra Yusufi, with The Partnership for Advancement of New Americans.
