Overruling objections from the planning commission, Newark City Council on Monday narrowly approved a plan to build new townhouses on Center Street.
Developer Nick Baldini is planning to demolish an old house and a garage on a 0.3-acre property at 50 Center Street, located at the corner of Center and New streets.
