Tuesday is starting with a wave of moisture and light rain pushing up from the south. Areas south and east of Spokane could start the day out with some brief, light rain while all of Eastern Washington and North Idaho will be socked in with some cloud cover.
As a result of the increase in morning clouds, high temperatures will cool slightly in Eastern Washington and North Idaho with highs mostly in the 80s. Central Washington will still reach the 90s.
Sunshine returns on Wednesday with highs back into the 90s. Afternoon and evening pop-up thunderstorms will also make a return. Little rain associated with the small storms could lead to mostly dry lightning strikes and possible fire starts…
