Fire damages multiple businesses in Seattle’s Madison Valley neighborhood

Firefighters worked to extinguish a fire in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood early Tuesday morning.

The fire started in a 3-story commercial building along East Madison Street at around 3:30 a.m., according to the Seattle Fire Department, and required a heavy response from both firefighters and police due to its intensity, with flames even shooting from the windows.
