HONOLULU (KHON2) — A bunch of new eateries are coming to the University area.
The Waianuenue at Kapaakea Shopping Center is located near Puck’s Alley on University Avenue, down the street from UH Manoa.
Kamehameha Schools recently renovated the shopping center and will soon be filled with new tenants:
- Shaka Shaka Tea – Known for handcrafted fruit teas, milk teas and smoothies made with premium tea and fresh ingredients, will relocate from its current Puck’s Alley location.
- The Well – Locally owned café dedicated to serving crafted coffee, specialtybeverages and fresh food.
- Paris Baguette – This is Paris Baguette’s fifth Hawaiʻi location. Known for its bakery café offering an array of freshly baked pastries, artisan breads, cakes, sandwiches and handcrafted beverages.
- Ramen Asukaya – Known for its authentic Japanese ramen, flavorful broths and comfortingdishes inspired by traditional recipes.
- Local Boy Sushi – A family-owned restaurant opening its third location in Hawaii, serving high-quality sushi and Hawaiian cuisine.
- Wingstop – With multiple locations on O’ahu, Wingstop is best known for its chicken wings, tenders and sides.
- Phuket Thai University – Returning from the former Varsity Center, Phuket ThaiUniversity offers Thai foods such as curries and noodle dishes.
- Morning Brew – Family-owned since 1995, Morning Brew opens its third location in Hawaii. The Hawaiʻi-grown café and bistro serves coffee and fresh local flair.
- OAKBERRY Hawaiʻi – OAKBERRY opens its second Hawaiʻi location. Known for its açaí bowls and smoothies.
- Broke Da Mouth Grindz – Known for its garlic furikake chicken, Broke Da Mouth Grindz hasbeen serving up local, Hawaiian and Filipino dishes as a family-owned and operated business since 2012.
- Island Manapua – Island Manapua plans a new dim sum concept that blends traditional flavors with a contemporary island twist.
