Charlotte animal shelter makes urgent plea for adopters, foster families after dog euthanized due to lack of space

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control is making an urgent plea for help after a dog was euthanized Tuesday because the shelter ran out of space.

Shelter officials said overcrowding remains a critical issue as its Toomey Avenue location undergoes renovations, temporarily reducing kennel capacity.
