BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) – A man is in custody following an assault on a female after being taken into custody by the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
Kyle Chrisley indicted on charges of assaulting officers
Leko Ladon Jones, age 46, was arrested in connection with an assault on a female which occurred on Saturday near the 2500 block of Maple Avenue in Burlington.
According to police, Jones fled the scene before the officers’ arrival. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
On Monday Jones was taken into custody in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and is awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
Jones was charged with attempted first-degree murder, first degree kidnapping, assault inflicting serious bodily injury, six counts of assault by strangulation, communicating threats, and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence…
