Brunch Goals: Why The Cafe Louisville Is Worth the Trip

The last time I was in Louisville with my book club gals, our friend Libby coordinated a wonderful time of fun in the sun at The Myriad Hotel. We do not play around when it comes to food and cocktails, so while we were in the pool, we were already thinking about where we were going to eat.

She had a wonderful recommendation for dinner that night that I will tell y’all more about another time, but you know the most important meal of a girl’s trip is brunch. We woke up Sunday morning, and while we were getting ready, Libby called around to get us a reservation. Since we had a group of ten, she was having some trouble finding a spot that would work for us.

But boy, did we luck out! We got our bags packed up, checked out, and headed to The Cafe in the Paristown Arts District. As soon as we walked in, there was a case of beautiful cakes and pastries to the left and a gorgeous gift shop to the right. They’ve got the vibe just right with the tall ceilings and industrial yet fancy feel.

We slid into the velvet booths and took in the huge Parisian posters on the wall. This is where we normally would have ordered mimosas, but we needed caffeine even more. However, if we had been down for some hair of the dog, this would have been pretty dang tempting!

Look at that work of art! It’s called Mary Got Boojie’d! This Mary may or may not be having some regrets that I didn’t get one, but what we ordered was absolutely wonderful. The brunch menu has lots of creative breakfast options and sandwiches if you are feeling more “lunchy.”…
