SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE, Va. (WFXR) – Smith Mountain Lake Marine Volunteer Fire Rescue responded to a reported 30-foot vessel that had run aground on a shoal with three occupants, but despite a wide-area search with fireboats and drones, no vessel in distress was found.
At 9:30 p.m., SML Marine Volunteer Fire Rescue was dispatched to the area of R11 to begin its search for a reported 30-foot boat that had run aground on a shoal with three people onboard.
