Denver area residents look to beat the heat at lakes and rivers despite low water levels

DENVER (KDVR) — As temperatures reached near triple digits on Monday and are expected to remain in the 90s through the week, people in the Denver area are looking for ways to stay cool despite a lack of water this summer.

At both Clear Creek in Golden and at Chatfield Reservoir, people on Monday said low water is better than no water.

However, parts of the swim beach at Chatfield looked closer to a desert than a reservoir…
