SARATOGA — An appeal has temporarily halted the eviction of three residents of the Saratoga Lakeview Mobile Home Park, delaying plans to demolish their homes and redevelop the property.
The latest legal twist extends a yearslong fight over the mobile home park on state Route 9P, a prime Saratoga Lake property that owner Michael Giovanone wants to convert into a boat and RV storage facility.
Giovanone bought the 3.2-acre park in 2021 with plans to expand his adjoining Boat N RV Condos business. Under the purchase agreement, however, he was required to wait five years before changing the property’s use and was expected to pay each homeowner a $15,000 stipend to relocate…
