Newburgh riverwalk restoration project underway following 2025 flood

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) – Work is underway to repair and strengthen Newburgh’s historic downtown riverwalk following damage from the 2025 flood.

The Riverfront Stabilization Project will repair flood damage and install preventive measures, including gabion baskets, to control erosion and protect the trail when the river rises.
