RI man raising money to get wife life-saving service dog

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI) — A Burrillville man is asking for donations so he can adopt a diabetic alert service dog for his wife, which he believes could save her life.

Cody Davis told 12 News he’s been by his wife Michelle’s side for nearly 18 years.

Throughout that time, he’s watched her live with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1, or MEN1, which is a rare inherited disorder that causes tumors to form in hormone-producing glands…
