SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Thick wildfire smoke burning just north and west of the Great Lakes is spreading a thick blanket of smoke over Syracuse and much of CNY today.
You can see the impact of the smoke with the red sun high in the sky, and you can also smell the smoke.
Air quality alerts are posted for much of CNY. Basically, if you have breathing issues or are particularly sensitive to the smoky air, you are advised to stay indoors.
