SPOKANE, Wash. — A group of Spokane teens is using paintbrushes and a blank wall between Main and Riverside Avenue as their tools for overdose prevention as they begin work on a mural designed to share a message of hope.
“I feel like there is a little bit lacking of community down here and I feel like this is very important for downtown Spokane especially,” said Mars Johnson, a teenage artist working on the mural.
