Three Russian nationals have been indicted in a sweeping international cybercrime case that federal prosecutors say caused more than $62 million in losses to victims, including organizations in Ohio.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio announced the charges Tuesday, saying the case is the result of a seven-year FBI investigation.
Federal prosecutors allege Alexander Volosovik, Kirill Zatolokin and Yulia Pankova, along with two Russia-based companies, Media Land and ML.Cloud, operated so-called “bulletproof hosting” services.
