Father of slain teen pleads not guilty in woman’s Albany killing

ALBANY — The man accused of killing a Schenectady woman on July 5 pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and other charges police have said are connected to the death of his son last year.

State Supreme Court Justice William Little entered the pleas on behalf of 44-year-old Vance Mims Jr., who was also accused of attempted murder and weapons possession.
