Greer to spend up to $200K for stormwater system assessment: City Council notes

Approved: Watershed study funding

Council unanimously approved spending up to $200,000 for a pilot watershed study that will involve, among other things, mapping and inspecting stormwater assets in the city’s Biblebrook watershed.

The work will be done by Louisiana-based Compliance EnviroSystems and will involve mapping and inspecting about 76,000 feet of storm drains across more than 900 pipes, according to city stormwater engineer Adam Vidalis in an explanation to council about the work.

Vidalis said the main goal was to identify and fix damaged stormwater pipes within the critical watershed…
