VENICE, Fla. (WWSB) – A homeowner in Toscana Isles woke to an unusual alert around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday when a Ring camera captured a 9-foot-4-inch alligator in the pool area.
The alligator pushed through the home’s screened pool enclosure before entering the pool, according to the Venice Police Department. A trapper with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Statewide Nuisance Alligator Program later safely removed the animal.
