Major milestone for the brand Toledo helped build

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Jeep marked its 85th anniversary Wednesday at the Toledo Assembly Complex, where company leaders and employees gathered to honor the brand’s history and outline plans for its future in the region.

The first Jeeps rolled off assembly lines in 1941. To mark the occasion, plant assembly lines were shut down — a rare occurrence — so the workforce could take part in the celebration.
